WASTE NOT

Fashion and textile waste results from all stages of the industry, from extraction of raw materials to the end of the product's life cycle.
Hazardous chemical runoff, non-biodegradable liquid waste, over-exploitation of freshwater resources and plastic microfibre pollution of waterways and surrounding land, threaten human health and lives and ecosystems.

Textile offcuts and unsold or discarded garments are rarely recycled or reused - most is incinerated or ends up in landfill - detrimental to communities, destroying biodiversity and soil fertility, causing enormous environmental and human challenges.

Extending the life of our garments, using them for longer, repairing and reusing what we already have are simple and humble actions to start reducing waste.
